On October 21, Sun Jianzhong, President of Qidong Charity Federation, Yin Weidong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Group Company, and Gong Shancong, Vice President of the Group Company, came to Malipo, Yunnan Province to pay tribute to the martyrs of the battle, and expressed their condolences to the veterans of the counterattack against Vietnam, as well as the descendants of the former militia and martyrs who had made meritorious contributions. On behalf of the group, Gong Shancong also donated 200,000 yuan to the charity of "condolences to heroes to help future generations become talents", and Qidong Charity Federation and other units also donated 50,000 yuan.
