The Group Company Dispatches Representatives to Attend a Special Symposium Hosted by the Qidong People’s Court and Industry Associations

On March 28, a two-way empowerment and interactive symposium titled “Judges Explain the Law, Experts Explain Practice,” jointly organized by the Qidong People’s Court and the Qidong Construction Industry Association, was held in the 13th-floor conference room of the Qidong People’s Court, with representatives from the Group Company in attendance.
The meeting reported on the number of civil disputes involving construction contracts accepted by the Qidong People’s Court over the past three years, the status of case closure, and the main characteristics of such disputes, while also sharing typical cases concerning engineering change orders, variation claim settlements, and the application of force majeure clauses. Participants further engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions on challenging issues, including the persistent display of information on closed cases on third-party platforms that cannot be removed, the ambiguities encountered in judicial practice regarding property-for-debt agreements, owners’ failure to carry out timely completion inspections, and the prolonged delays in advancing project settlement audits.
Seven specially appointed mediators from the group company engaged in interactive discussions with judges and peer experts on the challenges and difficulties encountered in practice, achieving positive outcomes from the symposium. (Cai Ting)
