Dispatch to the front line Refining true skills
——Growth is happening on-site
“Only when the numbers on the blueprints are translated into steel and concrete can one truly understand the essence of the work.” When the first batch of assigned personnel set off for the front line with this belief, nearly two months of hard work allowed them to shed their naivety as "theorists." Through the sweat and thought on-site, witnessing the collision of theory and practice, sparks of growth were ignited.
I. Cross-module Tempering: From Single-point Breakthrough to System Linkage
In the work log of Huang Songyue, a technician assigned to the Qidong Huisheng Offshore Equipment Base project, there are no longer simply single institutional and procedural deployments, but rather comprehensive practical records of safety collaboration, quality management, cost accounting, and labor communication. These records not only allowed him to deeply understand the internal connections of various professional modules but also verify the positioning and value of his own profession within the overall system. Each cross-professional collaboration is an opportunity for knowledge integration, and each technical integration is a starting point for innovation in thinking. "The efficient cross-module collaboration of various departments on the project has allowed me to deeply understand the key role of all-rounders in on-site management." Huang Songyue commented. From armchair theorizing to practical application, he completed a cognitive leap from a "single executor" to a "system thinker" through full-process involvement.
II. Decision-making Forging: From Passive Execution to Active Breakthrough
Shi Haibing, assigned to the Jinhe Optoelectronics Branch as the safety officer, experienced a "capability migration" in his career: previously passively executing instructions at the Group's Safety and Installation Department, he now needs to coordinate the safety management of all project departments in the branch, combining the characteristics of photovoltaic project construction and project schedules. "Each in-depth visit to the construction site, the diversity and complexity of safety production hone my management level and adaptability; the effects of each inspection, rectification, continuous improvement, and meeting exchange far exceed theoretical training in an armchair." Shi Haibing reflected. From "waiting for instructions" to "daring to make decisions," he honed the muscle memory of "information integration—risk assessment—rapid execution" in time-limited decision-making, further promoting the deep integration of the branch and group safety management systems.
III. Frontier Exploration: Touching the Industry Pulse on the Front Line
At the Jinshun Company's new energy lithium battery project, Yuan Zhuoxi's computer stores hundreds of screenshots of BIM models. As a backbone member of the Group's BIM team, currently assigned to a mainstream emerging industry project in China, using his BIM technology expertise, he utilized 3D modeling for pre-collision detection, assisting the project team in overcoming the challenges of complex outdoor pipelines. "When the virtual model corresponds one-to-one with the physical plant, I felt for the first time that digitalization is not a concept, but a tool that can solve practical problems." Yuan Zhuoxi said, "From BIM technology application to learning new energy construction standards, it not only broadened my vision of BIM technology applications in emerging industries, allowing me to master more new standards and regulations, but also changed some of my previous perceptions, allowing me to touch the real pulse of the industry's digital transformation."
Conclusion: There are no shortcuts to growth, only deep cultivation
Measurements between steel and concrete, deliberation in construction logs, disputes in late-night meetings… these seemingly ordinary daily routines are laying the foundation for professional growth. Although the assignment system has only been implemented for two months, the first batch of personnel have already proven with their actions that the front line is not a "gilding pool," but a "refining furnace"—here, theories are verified, abilities are tempered, and visions are broadened.
With the second batch of assigned personnel about to head to the site, we look forward to more colleagues embarking on this "practical training," forging true skills in the "furnace" of the front line. As a key link connecting the front line and the group, the assigned personnel, while delivering technical empowerment, management support, and professional services to the front line, effectively opened up a "highway" for information flow between the upper and lower levels, accurately avoiding the potential risks of information discontinuity and understanding deviations, and providing strong support for the improvement of project execution efficiency and the consolidation of execution quality.
