——From Historical Awakening to On-the-Job Mission

When the stage lights focused on Chen Duxiu's back as he wrote furiously and Li Dazhao's arm raised high shouting "With the passion of our youth, we will create a nation of youth," as a financial worker at Jiangsu Qi'an Construction Group, I never imagined a play could make me feel so deeply the resonance of a spirit that spans a century. The mundane financial reports in my hands every day seemed to take on new weight—they are no longer cold numbers, but the silent vows of the "awakened" in the new era: Although there is no bloodshed, we must maintain rigorous precision to safeguard the lifeline of the enterprise's development.

I. The Awakening Age: Igniting Faith in One's Work with the Light of Thought

On stage, Peking University students used their pens as swords, cutting a path through the chaos. Chen Duxiu's transformation from "not talking about politics for 20 years" to throwing himself into the revolution, and Li Dazhao's cry of "shouldering the burden of morality," made me think: In times of peace, does "awakening" require a more quiet and profound persistence?

Financial work may seem unrelated to passion, but it is actually in line with the spirit of the "Yannian brothers" in the play who defended their beliefs with their lives. In the play, they died bravely for the "great accounts" of national salvation; today, we meticulously calculate the "small accounts" of the enterprise day and night. In our work, the entire department works overtime day and night to check thousands of data entries for minor tax issues. These things have made me deeply understand that the spirit of the awakened does not necessarily require earth-shattering actions, but can build a solid foundation for the enterprise's development with unwavering persistence.

II. Inheriting the Mission: Answering the Call of the "New Youth" with Ordinary Actions

Lu Xun used his pen as a blade to pierce through numbness, and Cai Yuanpei reshaped the spirit of Peking University with inclusiveness—the pioneers in the play interpreted responsibility in different ways. Looking at myself, although financial work is like the "capillaries" of the enterprise's operation, it cannot tolerate any blockage. As Li Dazhao said, "The golden age is not behind us, but in front of us."

Jiangsu Qi'an's mission is to "build a new world and contribute to the Chinese dream," and the mission of financial personnel is to weave a safety net for the enterprise's development using data as the warp and weft. This attitude of staying behind the scenes is like the "孺子牛" (literally "child ox," a metaphor for hardworking and selfless people) in Lu Xun's writings—it doesn't need the spotlight, but interprets responsibility through silent cultivation. If the awakening of the youth in the play is holding up a torch, our awakening is to be the lamplighter in the dark night, guiding the way with the light of data.

III. Standing in the Times: Building the Backbone of the Enterprise with a Heart of Awe

When the young people on stage sang "The Internationale" and held up copies of "New Youth" magazine, what echoed in the theater was not only the melody, but also a question that transcends time and space: How should we, a century later, respond to the aspirations of our predecessors?

As a Qi'an person, I know that the Qi'an building cannot stand without the support of every brick. The accuracy of financial data is like the steel frame in a building—hidden within the walls, yet supporting a towering structure. After leaving the theater, I opened my work notebook and solemnly wrote: "Guard every penny with a heart of awe, like guarding a flame; polish every piece of data with the spirit of awakening, like carving history." Perhaps this is our answer—we don't need grand words, we just need to transform the passion of the "Yannian brothers" into a dedication to the third decimal place, and turn Li Dazhao's "youth declaration" into excellence in our work.

In today's surging digital wave, financial personnel are not only recorders of data, but also lookouts for the direction of the enterprise. In mid-May, the hotel renovation project for the Shanghai Wangyuan Building, undertaken by the Group, entered its final, critical phase of intensive completion. At present, all core construction tasks— including the main interior finishing works and the installation and commissioning of various mechanical and electrical systems—have been successfully completed. The project’s focus has now fully shifted to meticulous fine‑tuning, integrated system testing and commissioning, and comprehensive on‑site cleanup and final finishing.
