The group company organized a training on engineering insurance.
On December 22, the group company held a training themed "Strengthening Insurance Awareness and Avoiding Engineering Risks," with over 170 employees participating through both online and offline methods. Relevant personnel from the company's human resources department used industry risks as a starting point to briefly analyze the selection of different risk response strategies, and explained and shared concepts of project work injury insurance, coverage, and related cases. Sun Xia, the regional manager of China Life in Qidong, combined multiple actual engineering insurance claim cases to explain the original intention of commercial insurance in the engineering field, its key role, and how to scientifically and reasonably combine and select insurance based on actual project conditions, providing highly practical and operational professional guidance and valuable advice for insurance decision-making in engineering projects.
This training pointed out the direction for the company's engineering project risk prevention:
1. Before starting a project, it is essential to follow the principle of participating in work injury insurance before commencing work, effectively utilizing the solid protection provided by the government. For parts not covered by work injury insurance, timely supplement with commercial insurance to effectively disperse enterprise risks.
2. As government-mandated insurance types, comprehensive construction insurance and safety production liability insurance must be carefully studied when purchasing, including insurance coverage, requirements for safety supervision station certification, regulations on the number of exempted safety supervisors, certification requirements for special operation personnel, and the rationality of high-altitude operation definitions.
3. Group accident insurance and employer liability insurance have different characteristics; the former does not require named insured parties, with compensation going directly to the injured party; the latter requires real-name registration for insured parties, with compensation going to the insured unit. Enterprises need to comprehensively assess potential conflicts arising from later compensation and make prudent purchasing decisions.
4. After purchasing insurance, attention should be paid to the limitations on hospitals specified in the claim terms and specific requirements for reporting time to ensure smooth claims processing when incidents occur. (Human Resources Department)
