The Group’s Roche Pharmaceutical project achieves non-destructive construction through air‑suspended air cushions.
In mid-June, the Roche Pharmaceuticals project, undertaken by the Group’s Maosheng International Engineering Branch, successfully completed the indoor relocation of three 13-ton heavy-duty pieces of equipment within a high‑standard epoxy flooring area, utilizing an air‑suspension cushion‑lifting technique.
Before commencing work, personnel conduct on-site surveys to identify optimal positioning and arrange the air‑cushion modules accordingly. Compressed air creates a uniform air film between the cushions and the ground, enabling the entire heavy equipment to be suspended and lifted, with smooth sliding achieved through this air layer. During relocation, forces are evenly distributed, minimizing pressure and impact on the floor; operation is stable with minimal vibration, and the direction of movement can be adjusted flexibly.
Following precise on-site operations, the equipment was safely and smoothly delivered to its designated location and accurately positioned. Upon completion, a thorough on-site inspection confirmed that the epoxy flooring sustained no scratches, compression marks, or impact damage, thereby ensuring the safe handling of heavy machinery while maximizing protection of the plant’s floor‑level facilities, thus achieving an efficient, clean, and damage‑free indoor relocation process.
